Job overview

  • This role plays a key role in supporting digital procurement operations across the Group. The analyst is responsible for driving the data driven decision making across Ooredoo Group’s sourcing and procurement eco-system.
  • The role will lead the design, development, and continuous enhancement of reporting, dashboards, and analytics across key procurement domains including sourcing, procurement operations, spend analytics, supplier management, and contract management.
  • In addition, the role will act as Level 1 (L1) functional support for sourcing systems (including Ariba and iCertis) in Ooredoo Group, ensuring smooth system usage, provides training to end users, and delivers high-quality data for category managers to support in decision making
  • The Senior Analyst will bridge business and technology by transforming procurement data into actionable insights that improve efficiency, compliance, cost optimization, and supplier performance.

 

Your impact on our goals

Responsible for leading operational excellence across the Group in the areas of:

NOC (Network Operations Center), SOC (Security Operations Center), FLM (Field Maintenance), Tools (OSS, monitoring, assurance platforms, CEM), Operational efficiency and performance management activities, Services (such as Roaming)

  • Drive & support the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future Operations and Managed Services Technology strategies

 

  • Drive & support the development of Group-level Operations and Managed Services - Technology roadmaps, architectures and best practices ensuring alignment with Group strategic vision
  • Enforce Group-wide operational frameworks, architecture standards, and governance models with a close collaboration and alignment with all OG technology functions, but also with strategy and business departments to ensure consistency and positive impact.

 

  • Co-ordinate with Group Strategic Sourcing for driving synergies, evaluation of bids, and selecting vendors; provide technical expertise.

 

  • Contribute to relevant expert groups & drive centers of excellence in the defined area of responsibility, while actively contributing to other domains when needed (Engineering, IT, …)

 

  • Oversee alignment of OpCo projects and vendor engagements with Group models

 

  • Participate in reviewing OpCos’ strategic plans and budgets as a technical expert (participate in development also if requested)

 

  • Support OpCos in resolving Operations and Managed Services Technology related issues, as required, and as per the defined framework for Group involvement in the OpCos

 

  • Support in M&A technology due diligence

 

  • Participate in the formulation of strategic and operational governance processes of Group Technology as a member of the senior management team.

 

  • Standardize network operations, performance management tools and processes

 

  • Promote knowledge sharing and cross-OpCo collaboration. When needed/Requested, evaluate the efficiency of OpCo-related organizational structures and provide actionable recommendations to the leadership team

 

  • Define and govern the managed services model across OpCos, and promote effective knowledge sharing and cross-OpCo collaboration

 

  • Ensure continuous and effective vendors performance reviews and lead contract transitions, scope extensions, or renegotiations

 

  • Ensure alignment with Ooredoo procurement, finance, commercial, strategy, customer experience functions

  • Group Heads and peers in Group Technology, Group Finance, Group Consumer and Group Strategy functions.
  • Assigned OPCOs CTOs and Heads and Peers in Technology in the OPCOs.

External

  • Vendors: Key account Managers, Vendor Technical interface.

 

Your profile

Experience     

  • >15 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Previously held any of the following positions or similar as head at a major telecommunications operating company, in:
  • NW Service assurance,
  • NW SOC or Performance.
  • Network Operations
  • International experience
  • Experience in Ooredoo Group OPCOs is a plus.
  • In-depth working knowledge of RAN, Tx, Core Networks and Service Delivery is mandatory
  • Six Sigma, ETIL and any similar certifications are a good plus.
  • Good IT network background
  • Extensive hands-on experience in the planning, design and implementation and operating systems in mobile networks
  • Vast knowledge of key mobile telecom NW systems, platforms, and technologies, including hardware and software components
  • Strong knowledge of Telecom infrastructure technologies and end-to-end planning practices, implementation methods and cost optimization strategies, with a specialty in NW domains (RAN, Tx, CORE)
  • Knowledge and experience in systems integration techniques, system engineering, systems management,
  • Current working experience with NW Technology products (Planning and Performance) from group frame vendors very desirable.
  • Proven ability to translate commercial/marketing needs into technology targets, ability to guide marketing through that process, and contribute to strategy formulation

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Industry training in RAN, Tx, core network platform technologies preferred
  • International experience, preferably in the MENA or Asia regions.
